The reCUP paper cup by CupPrint has been certified by the prestigious European Green Dot scheme as AAA.
That means reCUP cups can be recycled in any paper waste stream and recycled into new paper products.
The reCUP is the first and only paper cup to be certified at this level.
Here’s a clip from Ireland following a cup from bin to rebirth, via a regular waste processing plant commonly seen worldwide – and then through a pulping facility.
Terry Fox, General Manager of CupPrint says: “We’re delighted with the results for reCUP during the tests done as part of the European Green Dot certification, which will now open up new avenues for recyclable paper cups that are designed to be accepted in regular waste streams.”
The reCUP uses a different type of paper cup liner called EarthCoating®, which is a mineralised liner containing less plastic.
This mineralised liner aims to break down more easily in appropriate recycling channels.
CupPrint is a Huhtamaki Group company and offers customers a range of paper cup choices.
- Standard PE lined paper cups that are recyclable where facilities exist
- Compostable cups that are compostable in commercial composting facilities
- reCUP recyclable paper cups as detailed above
Cups are available from Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) quantities as low as 1000 pcs with high resolution custom printing. (Note that reCUP is currently only available via our European factory so may incur added shipping costs.)
This fast turnaround and low MOQs means smaller businesses with less storage space can present their brand in a unique and high quality paper cup.
reCUP recyclable paper cups allow even the smallest of vendors to show their brand’s commitment to sustainability with a high quality, visually pleasing product that meets the highest standard currently available.
